Fusion Splice-On Connector
The fusion splice-on connector is field installable and provides easy quick, reliable, permanent field terminations, complying with international standards, such as IEC 61300 series, and Telcordia GR-326-CORE/GR-1081-CORE. It provides more stable quality and performance than that of mechanical field installable types of connectors. Its fiber and field fiber from drop/patchcord cable can be aligned and spliced by using fusion splicers to terminate any types of fibers in the optical cable. The splice point is protected with heat shrink protection sleeve and located in the connector body. It allows installers to reduce service delivery/operation and maintenance time. The fusion splice-on connector (FSOC) is quick, easy and reliable solution for the last mile of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and data center area. As it is field installable, it eliminates excess cable length and because of fusion splicing, there is no need of field mountable connector which requires high precision skills.
